Albany, NH

Albany: A town to the west of Conway, a long section of the Kancamagus Highway goes through Albany. A short section of New Hampshire Route 16 also goes through it. There are several businesses on Rte. 16 including automobile and motorcycle repair shops. Several inns and restaurants are also here.

There are four White Mountain National Forest campgrounds on Kancamagus Highway in Albany and another on Rte. 16. The trailhead for Sawyer Pond Trail, which provides access to the AT, is located just to the east of Passaconaway Campground on Kancamagus Highway. Mt. Chocorua, an extremely popular hiking destination, is also in Albany.

Did you know? The World Fellowship Center, a retreat center founded by and for peace activists in 1941, is located in Albany.
