Groton, NH


Groton: A small town lying east of the AT, there is an inn in town on the road leading to Sculptured Rocks.

Sculptured Rocks Natural Area was formed at the end of the last ice age when the Cockermouth River eroded bedrock on its approach to Newfound Lake.

Did you know? Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of the Christian Science Church, lived in Groton between 1855-1860. The house she lived in is open for tours.
