Shelter Description


This log structure originally was built by the CCC in 1935, rebuilt by the Youth Conservation Corps and USFS in 1979, and rebuilt again by the Long Trail Patrol and USFS in 2000 and 2011. Maintained by the GMC and USFS; caretaker; fee. Accommodates 10; tent platform. Composting privy. Water source is the adjacent brook.
