Rowe, MA

Rowe: The AT does not go through Rowe, and there are no highways leading to the trail that go through it either. In fact, Rowe has no state highways at all. Despite having limited services, there is an inn in town.

Rowe Camp and Conference Center is a retreat center for the Unitarian/Universalist Church, and Shantigar Foundation is a center for theater, art and meditation. Rowe Historical Society has placed numerous historical markers around town indicating where various buildings stood and activities occurred.

Did you know? Rowe was home to Yankee Rowe Nuclear Power Station, the first nuclear power plant in New England, which ran from 1960 until 1992.
